But why?Once again, we think of the child asking, "why?" If the why is about the shape and delight of the clouds, may we be so lucky to have the luxury of that moment of innocence and safety to explore the answer together. If the why is about a habit of asking why ask children learn their right to inquire, we are to get past our frustration and convert the moment into something formative.
Why does the child love to ask questions, ask why? Why does this instinct, if not impulse, so utterly wane as we age? Well, childhood is full of wonder. I start by the abstract and commit to making it simple -- are you able to answer the question why when asked what has meaning for you? Are you able to ask another how it is with their suffering? How is it, why is it, that with all of their pain they are able to get up each day?
